First Run!

Our first run produced about 15 volts. Check it out. We also powered a fan.

Nearly Complete

Today we are finishing the details of our circuit box. The alternator, adaptor, battery, capacitor, and v-belt have been installed. We are completing cage by boxing it in with plexiglass and adding our wattmeter to the handlebars.

Presentation Board Work

We came to the lab on Thursday, March 28th and work both on the bike and presentation board. We complied the assigned information and our ideas on a white board first (see picture below). Currently, we are making minor adjustment to the design and finishing the information needed. We were really stuck at this point because we needed to see what our bike was able to produce.
Update

While ordering and waiting for our parts we began by cleaning and rebuilding our design with the materials previously provided. After a process of re-aligning the wheels and gears, we took off desposits of rust, grease, and dirt with a light paint thinner. Our welder, Brad, then worked on welding our curcuitry box and its supports to the bike (see box like frame at back of bike). We then taped off the bike and spray painted our bike CBU blue and gold.
